turf and dirt

W
hen there is no 'surf' in the 'surf and turf' what are you left with? 'Turf and Terre' is redundant and so is every other combination of 'dirt and dirt'.

I guess thats why they simply call it 'meat and potatoes' since there is no fancy schmancy way of saying it.

I present to you: Meat and Potatoes.

A hunk of sirloin was dry rubbed, say that in a soft and suggestive way, a hunk of sirloin was dry rubbed, whew that almost made me gay - and I know you felt it too so dont lie.

This steak was deep massaged with a happy ending.

Then it was toe' up from the floe' up.

I showed you what happened out front, now let me show you what happens round back.

'Blue' plate special, the chefs serving, I like mine to have personality, try to not look at the truffle oil because I guess I like mine stinky too.

lol...was this the steak's first date?

Spice rub looks excellent. I'm more into the spinach and potatoes, but Tavo thinks the whole meal is right on!

What a great plate of steak and potatoes, but it's way to good to call it something plain like that. So you like truffle oil. We brought truffles and truffle oil back with us from France. Too earthy a taste for me but my husband adores it. So we don't waste that goodie on me; it's more for him he says. Love your blog and will return.

my carolina kitchen: thanks. I could not come up with an exotic name for it...I love truffle oil, especially on omelettes and pizza

Quite the happy ending! I'm trying not to think too much about the psychology of my desire for the potato over the meat.
