googly eyes

This is googly eye soup. "Why is it called 'googly eye' soup"? you ask. "Look at it" I would say. I got nothing today, nothing. This is some of the same soup from yesterday but with the addition of some dried beef and an egg. We will often put eggs into our soups for the added oompf you get from the yolk and the protein from the albumen, not to mention it tastes great.

Electric hot chocolate.

Yum Yum on both the soup and the Hot chocolate! I like the idea of adding an egg to the soup.
You have a nice voice Doggy.

I love putting eggs in soup. We eat them in beans quite often--there's something delicious about the contrasting flavors and textures!

That hot chocolate looks about perfect right now--its so COLD!

Delicious! I have to try that - I mixed in the yolks in the soup but haven't tried putting the whole egg like that. So pretty too :)

I know that soup must taste awesome, but I draw a line at food that looks back. Ha

That is some radical stirring stick you got there, 110 or 220?

micky-t: its 110 and this particular one has a speed setting - muh other one has only one speed - on.

I have an immersion blender, but don't use it much. Not much good in the amount of stuff I cook, now is it? It's been so cold the last 2 days and the next 2 are supposed to be worse. You can bet I'll be sending it your way - why don't you send it off toward Maine?

Is it snow in NY? Here we have nothing, just a few degrees minus. but it's still cold, and I still crave hot chocolate. and because of you I keep thinking about stuff to put in the cocoa.

Way to use the leftovers...looks great! But I have to admit, I would never have thought of putting eggs in it...just thinking of it creeps me out a little. But if you say it is good...then I will have to give it a try...because I believe you...and the pictures!

Everytime you make Hot Chocolate it getS a little hotter here...what's up with that?

i WAS GOING to make a tartar last night but it required two egg yolks that would remain uncooked. yuk. unless that's in cookie dough, i ain't interested.

That egg does look quite googly! We are tempted to pierce it in the middle and then slurp it up.

marjie: they make these things in an industrial size that I am sure would work with your soup vats. I keep huffing and puffing but the cold is not moving.

anette: a little snow - like powdered sugar...but very cold

harmony: it is good - trust me..well it keeps getting colder here

TK: got an issue - here's a tissue

the duo dishes: thats what I like to do - me and yolk go way back.

You had me until you plopped the egg into it.

I tried google " googly eyes"- hehe, there are actually some skateboard wheels called that... I also opened a site with the words "googlyeyesoncock", and I HONESTLY thought it would have something to do with big bulbing eyes on a bird, but it didn't... MY eyes got googly for a second, then closed the site immediately ( oh my..) not good, am in the office .... :o)

Thankfully, I have gotten over my reticence to eat food that's looking at me.
