mixed signals

I
am still in holiday eating mode and while resolutions have been made it does not appear that they will be acted on for a few more days. I learned about this tradition from the Noble Pig, so I did it too, I had ours with grapefruit soda. Twelve grapes, each symbolizing a month in the year, eaten in one minute. The sweet ones are, obviously, a sweet month.

Krakilette boiled eggs so I did too. Got Butter?

Stacey Snacks ate salmon and cucumber so I had to have some too, hers were delicious with dill and mine were tasty with chevre. All in all it was like hanging out with friends.

Great photos...we need to teach Chef E how to do this...

I am not much of a cook here...eat more easy comfort foods...

Adding you to my blogroll -- not that I'll actually cook any of these things (because I don't), but it will be nice to come over here and look at what people who have talent are eating....

Those soft boiled eggs remind me of Sunday morning breakfast with my mom, many years ago. She'd slice my toast in long strips so I could dip to my hearts content, then a gentle scoop-out with the spoon....mmmmmmmmmm!

I looked for my red grapes, but someone had eaten them all! Wondered if it would work with cherry tomatoes? Your egg looked delicious, did you do as MickyT said, dip your bread? Nice with a little sprinkle of pepper!

I think they do the grape thing in Mexico and Spain too...I should know this, I'm looking at the border right now, but I can't see anyone jumping around with a bunch of speared grapes! The eggs look wonderful. I ate cold pizza yesterday...no greens, no black eyed peas. I hope my laziness doesn't affect my bank account...HNE

You sure take snappy photos - is that a trick or is there a genuine art of photography?

Love the grapes idea....I grew up in the south, so we just had black eyed peas! I think that fun funky drink would have been better! LOL

Thanks for visiting! I am sure I will be back.
