turf and dirt

W
hen there is no 'surf' in the 'surf and turf' what are you left with? 'Turf and Terre' is redundant and so is every other combination of 'dirt and dirt'.

I guess thats why they simply call it 'meat and potatoes' since there is no fancy schmancy way of saying it.

I present to you: Meat and Potatoes.

A hunk of sirloin was dry rubbed, say that in a soft and suggestive way, a hunk of sirloin was dry rubbed, whew that almost made me gay - and I know you felt it too so dont lie.

This steak was deep massaged with a happy ending.

Then it was toe' up from the floe' up.

I showed you what happened out front, now let me show you what happens round back.

'Blue' plate special, the chefs serving, I like mine to have personality, try to not look at the truffle oil because I guess I like mine stinky too.

as good as it gets

When I was a kid I wanted my foods to look like what I saw on television and packaging and I would drive my mom crazy enforcing this. One of the most 'important' ones was my breakfast cereal - it had to look like what was on the box. It never happened.

What tastes better in your cereal than a not so sweet strawberry? How about a super concentrated dried strawberry?

Thats right dried strawberries are so rich compared to fresh.

Fresh is good, in fact fresh is great but these dried guys are chewy, fruity and sweet and they make your cereal better too.

usually unusual

Nothing screams frou frou louder than a quail egg. Once you add a quail egg to the mix that mix climbs the social ladder. I like them, yolk separated and put into a hot sake, if I have to list only one.

What about you?

This is my most recent application of quail egg, sushi.

while waiting

We had to wait for the pizza place to open so we killed some time.

Time killed, we were on our way!
