labor day

T
ime to put some distance on that hot dog video - a little too much of everything led to quite a 'creative' experience - thats for sure! Rolling up the carpet on a summer that hardly was. It rained on all the good days, it even rained on the bad days and then it got super nice on the last days so whatta ya gonna do?

Eat breakfast and get the day started thats what you do! We have so many ideas of what we want to do today and the anticipation of battling the crowds are key in the decision. Which crowded idea will be least crowded? This answer should come to us after a bite to eat. The kid went for chocolate banana pancakes, warm, sweet, delicious.

The grown ups went for poached eggs in little stacks with potato, zucchini, tortilla, tomato and corn. If you know me like I know me there has to be some egg dish at least every three days! How many grown ups are we talking about here - you will have to wait till the census results to know that one.

Happy Labor Day, Bud! Your food looked like I wanted to be there.. Got a couple of tricks up my sleeve coming this week you might like... can you say lightly smoked Blue Gill?

Dang, I just had a measly little piece of toast for breakfast. I wish I had some of your instead.

I put mashed banana in my waffles sometimes. Decadent!

I saw in our paper that your town is #1 in hot dog consumption, and our little town is #8. That's a damn lot of hot dogs for people to be consuming, to beat Miami with something like 1/10th the population!

I thought about you today...I made green chile and white cheddar potatoes au gratin with leeks and cilantro. Your the chili man!

There has to be a hash & egg dish every 3 days Dog! I gotta have my hash man or hashish LOL.
And pancakes once a week for sure. Did you ever try making cream of wheat pancakes?

Both of those dishes look great. I'm usually rushing in the morning so if I make breakfast, it's usually for dinner. It's nice to have a morning that isn't so hectic. Hope you had a surprisingly uncrowded and good day.

Just telling it like it is said...

Can I just tell you how much I love love chocolate chip pancakes...my mouth is watering already...

Oh I hate finding out that I missed out on all this awesomeness! Always, Dog, ALWAYS you blow me away. Absolutely gorgeous!

You know, I hadn't realized that was an egg until you pointed it out. I thought it was a nice plop of mozarella.
