soy milk

I no longer have to make soy milk the old fashioned way. Soy milk is expensive - on sale its about 6 bucks a gallon but now I can make a gallon for about 30 cents. What a gap in price wouldnt you say? 340 grams of soy beans costs 60 cents (up from 50 cents last year). I can make about 10 liters from 340 grams. So we will be saving money while consuming even more soy milk than before. The blender and boil method takes about 2 hours at least - the soy milk maker takes about 10 minutes. Can you tell I am excited.

I am such a VIRGIN!!! I've never had soy milk....but I did have edamame (spelling?) the other day and I HATED it!! YUK!! Double YUK! So if soy milk tastes anything like that, then forget it, but that is a really cool appliance you got there.

My grandma bought the exact same machine! It's sooo sooo cool!!! and apparently u can pay around with different ingrediants and make black sesame dessert/almond nut cream as well. The soy milk from this is beautiful!

I am only able to choke down soy milk when mixed with something else...the idea of actually making it, well, I admire your commitment.

I am dying to have one of these. Teh savings are definitely amazing.

Does the homemade soy milk taste comparable to Solk? Does it come with recipes that add stuff like carragennan (a seaweed) to help provide the silky texture? Very, very cool.

tk: you have got to be the lamest vegetarian I have ever heard of

ma: its good, why choke it down

uv: I add agar agar and flax seeds or flax seed oil for that creamy silky texture but it comes out relatively 'creamy' to begin with...
