more new fangled

I made something else with that can of crisps. Pringles chips have a unique sweet and salty flavor that actually works as an ingredient really well.

I crushed up the crisps with a little unsalted butter and put them in the bottom of a pan.

I filled the pan with cheescake mixture.

I served the cheesecakes with a little cantaloupe coulis and a fresh fig garnish.

The Pringles added a nice soft crunch and almost a nutty flavor to the soft and creamy cheesecake.

I also made some in little ramekins

and served them up similarly....

and not so similarly. I dont know who is more versatile - me or Pringles. Stay tuned I still have a couple more ideas tucked way up my sleeve.

Clever! very clever indeed! I wouldn't have thought of that at all, The Pringle being in the salty corner of the playground! I guess I'm a bit narrow minded. But it must have worked out very well! Beautiful plate!

Interesting, a Pringles cheesecake. What will you think of next. I like the cantaloupe sauce with the thinly sliced figs. Where do you find your figs?

Oh you are a clever, clever fellow. I may have to go buy some pringles just for your recipes.

This is ingenious! They look beautiful! Would never have thought I'd be dreaming of Pringles for dessert!

diana: street vendors sell the green and purple figs for a couple bucks a basket

linda: you are mighty clever yourself - the blossom shrouded omelette - that was a bright and shining star

TW: dont be ingenuous with ingenious I will believe you in a minute!

Ya know, initially I balked at the cooking with Pringles challenge when they emailed ... but it just goes to show I'm not as creative as I should be. These little cheesecake gems are calling my name. Wow, well done!
