miles baby miles

Over 200 miles later we are back home after having only left this morning, why? To have fun! There is no stretch of highway too long for me not to travel. I love the road! If I could work the circuit I would. 200 miles sounds like nothing but its from NYC to Woodstock and back minus all the driving about From 10 to 7 - Woodstock is a favorite place to go for us, plenty of thrift stores and backwoods shopping plus we are from the 'city' and thats what we do. Whats my point?

Quesadillas. Blue corn, flor de calabaza - quesadillas. Perfect treat after eating bad barbecue and whatever!

Zucchini flowers and zucchini strips with tortillas and cheese. You tell me whats better? Glad to be home.

Wish I could travel a bit, hubby and I did that for awhile when he used to work out of town, but now we're home bodies!

And hubby LOVES quesadillas! When I told him I knew how to make them, he forgot there was a Taco Bell and now I have to make them! Wonder if I should have kept my secret! hee hee!

I'm beginning to believe my husband. He always tells me I'm a sheltered Idaho girl....

I've never eaten zucchini blossoms... or blue corn shells. It looks Delish!

Quesadillas sound so good right now, yes its after midnight but I've been sick for the past two days and just starting to regain my appetite -- so everything looks good!

Quesadillas look so terrific, I don't make them often enough...I mean I love to eat them, but it's like traveling, I can only have a bit once in a while....

This is a novel way to use zucchini flowers - I'm always thinking Italian, but it's great to see them used in another type of cuisine.

I love to drive, and think nothing of road tripping the 646 miles to our office. But hubby despises it. so we stay home more and more. Can't say I'm not pleased to be here, but I surely have a lot more room to rattle about indoors than you do and my yard is amazing, too. Besides, would we really want to leave poor Thor behind? He'd cry like a little baby!

I like the strips! Smart idea. Woodstock is a fun little town, isn't it? My friend used to have a piercing shop there.
