Jabba the Hutt says Tuna Melt, I know he does, it sounds like he does, I always thought he does, does he?

Whether he does or not here is a tuna melt. When I dont know what to have for lunch I always fall back on the tuna melt. "Jabba wookie, pootanaaa, tunaa melt"

Tuna, Albacore out of a can, is used by me a lot! My wife would drive to NYC for a tuna melt!

There isn't much better than a good tuna melt, and I don't know WHY it's been so long since I have had one.

Friends went shroom hunting over the weekend. It's still too early. They will try again this weekend.

tavolini: nope - no velveeta here - I have tried to like velveeta - and I have tried hard

harmony: and tuna melts love you too

ramya: I'll trade you for some fudge

buff: well, I live downtown just give me a heads up

diva: the husband has the right idea - then I would go for a yoghurt as dessert

bina: still a little cold for the shrooms huh? I am using you as a gauge for when they might get ready further north...

Yum!! Tuna melt. I'd go for that any day of the week.

you're right, so much nicer to have a hot meal for lunch. admittedly, I get lazy in the middle of the day.

how are you feeling?

I hate tuna salad. Sorry dog. But I love my sushi & uni. Go figure.

Can you do another nyc bakery video? Any bakery. Or you could try Levain bakery--they totally rock. I miss my nyc bakeries :-(

is that cheddar on there? It actually looks relatively appetizing... too bad I find mayo absolutely repulsive.

oh Hot Damn Baby!!!! We call them "seaburgers" around these parts...now I gotta go make one. The first time I ever had one, I was in elementary school, and I LOVED them. that and mashed potatoes w/hamburger gravy. that was always good.

jenn: I must eat one a day all summer long...

diva: I am getting a little better - I broke down and took some cold medicine to supplement the goldenseal and other herbals

dawn: what about fresh tuna? I will try and visit the one you mention but there are tons all around - I'll just pop in and hit a few

lisaiscooking: cucumber, scallion, garlic chive and a tiny bit of jalapeno - on rye

healthy: I could lie and say there is no mayo....yup good ol' cheddar

beth:'seaburger' you have a different word for everything

Hi there!

That looks delicious, I'm always all for tuna and melted cheese. They make my world go round, actually!

I usually grill mine but this looks yummy. I'm guessing under a broiler?

I haven't had a tuna melt in forever. Man, now I need one.

Anette said...

I've never tasted it, but it looks good and cheesy! Do I spy spring onion in the tuna?

Emily said...

Never had one! It does look tempting, though. :)

Synchronicity. School holidays. I have six teenagers in the house at the moment. Tuna melt was on the menu for lunch yesterday. Are those spring onions I see in yours? My kids are older now and insist on finely chopped onion in theirs. I make my own spicy potatoe wedges on the side.

Love the melt! Love it!!!

halfcrazy: nice way of putting it!

mish: grilled - like a grilled cheese with tuna? thats a good idea!

elyse: maybe it is time....

anette: spring onion, cucumber - so far so good....

emily: WHAT?! Time to hop on board.

belle: in a couple days I will have 5 kids in the house of all ages - it is synchronicity!

darius: love the melt and the melt will love you....- old tuna proverb

Something about fish and cheese has always been a little funky...but this looks tasty. Even at 9:55 am for breakfast!

Yes, like a grilled cheese with tuna.... Its even better in the summer when the tomatoes are fresh and you can put a big slice on it!!

Melted cheese on anything - my kind of meal!

Thanks for the lunch idea. Are those cukes I see? I will have to try adding those, I love the crunch factor.
