I am a truffle-a-holic

C
onfession time: I cant stop eating the truffle stuff and the last thing I needed to do was taste the truffle honey.

It wont be long before I take my hard earned money and spend 60 bucks on a tiny little nugget of fresh truffle - I can see that on the horizon.

Pan grilled chicken breast seasoned with sea salt and olive oil over a bed of mashed sweet potatoes and watercress that is dressed with lime and salt - and once again some drizzles of truffle honey because it goes so well with everything!

I think I'd be truffle-a-holic also, if I had my hands on some of that truffle honey. Grilled chicken, smashed sweet potatoes, and truffle honey...it can't get any better than that.

Oh, YUMMY! Where do you find the time to cook all this food???

kenny: luxurious indeed - I will not allow myself to run out of truffle anything after this

jenn: no it cant - well maybe it can

bina: well lets see - 15 minutes to boil the potatoes and grill the chicken, 1 minute to mash the potatoes and 15 minutes to snarf it down - that adds up to 31 minutes....we eat 3 meals a day - dont you too?

I can't blame you. I've almost done that. I saw a beautiful truffle sitting in a bed of dried white rice with a beautiful glass cover covering it from nosy kids with sticky fingers or super curious non-chefs ready to touch it. I almost bought it, but it was soooooo expensive.
Keep on creating, I'm over here enjoying ever single one.

5 star: dont you know it - I indulge in them every now and again

ramya: yes but I am a functioning truffle-a-holic

dawn: I have done it - I have caved to the rice - one time I found these cute little cans (teeny tiny cans) in a grocery store in Paris and for what was a fraction of the cost I had some that had a little shelf life - granted they were not nearly as good as fresh but they were still pretty good.

Oh you are on the truffle train these days!!

It is the culinary crack. One day you say hey I am just going to have a taste and next thing you know you are shaking on the street corner with all your worldly possessions on sale for 5 dollars a piece. When you get enough you run to the local market to buy enough to get you by.

I will call TA (truffles anonymous) when you make a post about buying a pig to train as a truffle hunter.

donna: try as I could I could not incorporate 'hard' into my response..

healthy: I am in truffle heaven - minus the actual truffle

snugs: go clean up .....

anette: yes I am and I dont want to get off

jeff: I think you know me too well without even knowing me...
