classic twisted
Everybody eats some form of chicken and rice and you know it. I think even vegans and vegetarians eat something called 'fakin' and rice to imitate chicken -n- rice. So it should come as no surprise to you that I too eat chicken and rice. I eat chicken and rice in so many ways I dont have time to tell you and you dont have time to hear.
A favorite way to make chicken and rice round here is with curry and that too has all its variants, sometimes its butter chicken some times its green curry, I will do a tandoori style, the list and its myriad of other lists is endless and this is only the curry list!
This is red chile, coconut curry with chicken tenders over basmati rice. Sweet, spicy, aromatic and delicious.

AND THE REST OF THE WORLD TOO!
harmony: thanks - it was killer!
micky-t: a true favorite....
There is no Fakin in my book!
This looks so good. Why am I scared to make Indian food? I love it... I guess I just need to be brave. My Handyman cooks a couple of Indian dishes but I never have.
Hmmm ... my chicken and rice never looks that yummy!
Like you, I eat so many different combinations of chicken and rice. I find that they are very easy and fast to cook.
I made poached chicken last night, and cooked the rice in the resultant broth, and the poor dog had virtually no leftovers. Everyone loves chicken and rice, except, of course, my picky eater (or so he says).
Chicken and rice my fav they look great nice presentation...
chicken, rice and curry. You can't go wrong with that.

I have never said this about food before. But that is just beautiful.

Many cultures and cuisines do indeed have versions of this...Yours looked great!
That's a great looking chicken and rice. I usually go more in the arroz con pollo direction, but now I'll being thinking curry.
when I first opened up the post, I thought it was a giant coconut macaroon!

buffD: yup everybody eats it in one form or another...
lisaiscooking: thats the only way I had it growing up in New Mexico
stacey: its amazing what you can do with a scallion....
Your presentation is top notch!!
As a veggie, I do more tofu and rice and the ever present beans and rice ;)
Tavo, on the other hand, will tear up some chicken and rice!
Chicken and rice. A staple in our family. Curry - the national dish of Britain. That decorative greenery on the top is too clever. I've tried - I just can't do it.
The last time I was in Malaysia I really really wanted some Devil's Curry (Curry Debal, if you're Portuguese). Unfortunately, I got cheated and the restaurant who swore they had it on the menu, insted brought be some weak curry with chicken from a street vendor instead.
Anyway, I hear it's awesome and really spicy.
tavolini: lots of beans and rice around here too...and tofu - we eat it all
belle: cut a scallion on the angle - insert one into the other - voila an "X" is born
jason: I'll have to remember that the 'next time' I go to malaysia
The rice is so fluffy it almost lifts from the plate, the chicken is of course nosedrippingly goodlooking! Beth, I knew it!
Another delicious post focusing on rice and curry -- you know how to make this Asian girl happy! I've learned not to visit your blog late at night, because it makes me want to raid the fridge. :)
yummy! I'm making chicken and dumplings-my husband said he wouldn't put it on rice!!
correction-he wouldn't mind if I put it on rice!
sorry-I'm still sick!!
anette: spicy stuff has substituted for soups for me lately
leela: yesssss, I knew I would get to you eventually
patty: you are sick too...bummer - hopefully the dumplings will help
Mmm, red chile coconut curry sounds so delicious. Man, you're right about chicken and rice. I eat it in so many forms. I love it! Ultimate comfort food, and a perfect weeknight meal to boot!
I love curry! I actually rarely eat rice unless its with a curry... its so good for sopping up that sauce!
Lovely, lovely! I want some now. That's the problem with staying up too late looking at food blogs - they make you hungry.
It was nice catching up on what you've been doing. We put fried eggs on everything! And I didn't steal my kids' computer when my laptop crashed either. Even though I wanted to - very, very badly...
I'm salivating here... wow!
Hmmm, I love chicken and rice (and curry also). We have a local Indian restaurant that we order from at least once a month, and curry's always on the order.
Your "twist" looks amazing... and delicious.

TK: I could never stop needing you....ever.
hm, you know a lifetime ago - in 1989 - I worked at a restaurant in Switzerland and there was a dish called Riz Casimir, and it looked pretty much like your dish... last year I had the opportunity to visit the same restaurant again and Riz Casimir was still on the menu!! :o) rice and chicken, always a winner with me..
love those peppers in there! I love me some spicy curry food. nicely done
