good-better
You know whats coming dont you? How do you make something that is normally really good into something that is even better? Truffle oil. I am obviously so psyched to be able to pour this stuff on everything I am surprised I havent put it in my bath.
Steak sandwich - Crunchy, fresh baguette filled with oven roasted beef tenderloin drizzled with the coup de gras - white truffle oil, roma grape tomatoes, julienned spring peas, white irish cheddar then melt it under the broiler. This was a sandwich that even the kid thought was out of this galaxy.

That looks great to me right now! I making a Southwest flavored beef pot roast- we'll see what I end up with..
I can imagine how well the earthy flavor of truffle oil tasted with the steak. Crazy man.
Obviously you're so open to new things, have you had a steak & egg grinder? Man I miss those.
BD: There was definitely not enough of this to go around - thirds were in order
dawn: the flavors were perfect together - I can certainly enjoy a steak and egg grinder now and again.
lovely sandwich but what the heck is a steak and egg grinder?
Excellent!
mmm, Looks impresive and by the way its a good thought why not try truffle oil in bath ;) ha ha.. I read a book which said that wine can be used for bath mmm that did surprise me, who know one day some one would come out with a research saying Truffle Oil, can be used for bath... Thoughtful Christo!!! ;)
Oh my God that looks so freaking good! And I'm hungry, too!
I'm gonna have to look up truffle oil. I have no clue.
You definitely made that steak sandwich better!! Truffle oil to the rescue!
nice! I love truffle oil and what a great way to incorporate into something so familiar!
My husband didn't know any better and was cooking with it like olive oil!
And when a kid says anything other than "It's OK," you know you have something good going on.
snugs: do I have to do everything for you?
5 star: thanks
ramya: dont tempt me I might start bathing with it...
bina: olive oil with a truffle essence - truffles are rare and strong wild mushrooms
jenn: only problem - not enough steak
patty: it is super good on everyday things
jill: I guess if you are the maharaja you can use it liberally
marjie: it is a good feeling to get accolades beyond - its ok -why?
I think, by this point, you're essentially telling me that I really need to run out and buy some truffle oil. Point taken; will do!
This must have been fabulous, actually said MMMMMM out loud when I saw it. Your photo of it is perfect also.
i've tried it and cant' tell the difference. tell me somethign i could do with it (nothing naughty db) that would make me appreciate TO
And to think, I was satisfied by the cheese steak I had a Yankee Stadium yesterday! LOL
I am loving every single bit of this and I dare say I'm a wee bit jealous ... and hungry! ;)
