gnocchi in color

H
ere they are - purple potato gnocchi with various coulis - not your typical gnocchi design, but they are soft and flavorful. A definite 'do again', remember I do experiment with other styles.

Not bad for a first draft. Did I forget to mention excessively that the flavors are out of this world?

I don't even know what a gnocchi is. They're colorful, but all that purple! Yeah, bust my chops some more, it's OK! I guess not having a hungry horde around enables you to take artistic pictures, eh? I have to sneak the pictures in before anyone knows there might be food to be had!

tavolini: lets not forget I was doing 365 posts this year..."how do you do it" people may ask -answer 'one at a time'

chef e: thanks chef e

marjie: they are a dumpling made out of potato - I take these pictures during the day when I am alone usually.

I am ashamed to say I actually caught myself watching RRay making a trio of gratin, only because she was talking tators and mention your purple Peruvian com padre's! Then I turned it off, must be the sinus drugs slowing me down tonight :)

Just telling it like it is said...

Where are you people finding the purple potatoes? Nice presentation!

I love presentation. To me, after cooking a meal is the 1st step, but putting in the plate as a canvas and making it pretty to look at is the 2nd step! Love how you presented this dish!
