fessin' up
How do I tell you that what is posted and what is eaten is not always on some sort of 'real' time. This question of time takes on several layers. There is the layer of what we 'actually eat' versus what we 'photograph' and then there is what we eat that no one sees layer. Then there is the layer that is so subversive that no person -dead or alive- should ever be subjected to layer - and that is our basic maneuveur our normal day to day layer - our its-so simple- its how we roll layer. The trick is not in having a trick the trick is that there is really no trick. Time is full of layers.

If your hidden layers are like mine, there are bowls of cereal involved.
We appreciate the layers you share with us, as they inspire us to think outside the square and experiment with the food that we eat, share, create!!
Sometimes we pretend that your everyday menue is ever so exciting all the time, but most of the time we know that what you show us is a part of a bigger whole, which also contains plainer stuff. Thats all about mixing everydays with specialdays. And enjoying both!
A bit like sharing other layers of our lives on blogs! Beautiful pic....
On my blog, I actually make the stuff, photograph it, and start eating it right after that (unless I have to take the food somewhere first!). I try not to repeat posts on our favorites we eat often...
It's our complexities that make us interesting. What I find interesting is who & what we're drawn to & why.
Hidden layers are sexy. I like taking the time to peel them back, languidly discovering what lays beneath, the rawness, the exposure of each new layer shedding new and magical insight with promise for more beneath the next one.
Unless of course you are talking about rotten food. Then fuck it, I am not interested in layers. At all. Nope. Not one bit.

Bah, we forgive you. I just like to look at food--I won't hold when you've actually eaten it against you. ;)
My friend Cooper does Friday Food Porn on his site where he also temps us with deliciousness. :)
And I have to say that I am so craving some avocado now that I saw them atop your scrumptious looking chili! Nummy!
