chuggin' along

Once I get on the pasta train its hard for me to get off. I like pasta! "But you like everything" people might say and that would be true but I definitely like pasta. When I am not eating way too much chile I am probably eating too much pasta, thats just the way it is. In fact I am going to make some chile pasta and see how that comes out - hopefully a perfect fusion.

This is the beginning of spinach and cheese stuffed mushroom ravioli.

Mushroom pasta, spinach and cheese ravioli with a light ragu.

Same ragu with spinach fettuccini.

The Pup enjoying the 'green' noodles that he asks for all the time.

Oh lord. Seriously, I don't know why I read your blog before I eat, because you're killing me. Especially when you present meatless options that look so decadent and scrumptious my mouth waters. I, like the pup, enjoy anything green. I think you should invite me over, we'll cook for 48 hours straight (I'll provide the wine and entertainment) and see what we can come up with. Of course, I'll even pay for the Weight Watcher's after. ;)

PS - You can have my yard for two weeks in exchange for a walk in Central Park. My heart belongs to NYC. I'd trade ANY day.

I think I could live eating pasta as my only carb. There's just nothing better than noodles ... OK ... maybe one or two things, but still!

dana: when they are green noodles they cross over into the vegetable world in my book

Dog,
OK, 72. ;) I'm sure you can come up with some new, magical recipe to keep me there longer, and of course, wine is always a way to bribe me to do just about anything.
Yes, I've walked in Central Park. In fact, I walked from W32nd all the way to Central Park and then got LOST in Central Park while trying to find the Zoo. This happened that weekend back last October that hit the high 80's. Let's just say I sweat off a few pounds and toned my calf muscles something fierce. It was my first time in NYC after dreaming of going there all my life. I was there for 4 days and my heart cracked open and my life changed because of the experience. I absorbed the energy, the sounds, the smells and spun around and around in Times Square wishing I'd done something a little different with my life so that a slice of Manhattan might be mine. The city awakened a sleeping beast in my soul and I can't wait to come back in November. CAN'T wait.
