see it, want it
Last night, well it was actually this morning around 3:30, I read this and I could not get pizza out of my mind. I had everything I needed to make any kind I wanted and I did.
Black olive, garlic, clams and sauce.
Pepperoni for the kid.
More clams for me. Thanks Tavolini for the inspiration, oh and I forgot to mention that I put oregano in the dough for added italian flavor.

Never had clams on a pizza, very interesting, definitely something to try in a future.
Yeah, I'm probably going to be stuck making pizza for Pi day. The kids love it; me, not so much. But I'd give one slice of that pepperoni a try!
Saw it, want it! All of it. My current favorite toppings are prosciutto and gorgonzola but will gladly settle for crust, sauce and cheese.
Making pizza at 3:30 a.m.? If I lived at your house, I'd weigh 500 pounds.
You really are a DOGG.
I swear I can taste those pizzas.
Clams?...you can put clams on my pizza ....anytime!
5 star: there is this place near the yale campus called 'frankie pepes' or something like that and they make the clam pie
marjie: the pies are small you can have a whole one
tangled: ooohh yeah prosciutto and gorgonzola sounds great
jeanne: 3:30 is when the bee got in my bonnet I didnt make the pizzas till around noon
micky-t: clams are so good on a pizza...
See, I'm all about beef, sausage and pepperoni on pizza!
I've never had clams on my pizza before! Am I missing out?
Did you make them around 04.00 in the morning, and wake your kid up to a pizza breakfast? You must be a good dad! You can't beat pizza the home made style!
TBD: sausage is one of my favorites...
joie: I would have to say - yes.
anette: no, not this time...but I have done things like this before in the early hours...
I add spices and a little Parmesan to my crusts too.. I'd never get clams past my family...
Clams? Now that is different. Kudos to Tavolini for giving you such a great inspiration!!
pizza at 3:30 am? Sounds like drunk munchies to me, glad you waited til later so you didn't get burnt.
awww, thanks!!!
Clams sound EXCELLENT on pizza. Did they get overcooked at all or still taste fine? I'd like to try calamari on pizza sometime. I think the fried crispiness would be good.
oh, and I did eat my pizza around 3 am :/
I just LOVE pizza!!!! Anyway you cook it, it's good, except of course, with sardines! I just can't get past the smell.
these look tasty - right now i'm a big fan of bbq chicken pizza...going to have to make one now, thanks for the inspiration!
Clams and garlic and olives sounds fantastic! I might add a healthy dose of crushed red pepper, and now I need some pizza.
oh my, mouthwatering! now you've got me craving pizza. do you have a pizza stone?
What a coincidence! Pizza is on my menu for this week and I am making my own pizza dough! good suggestion with the oregano in the dough.
It's breakfast time, and we're seeing pizza! How are we going to make it to lunch with all of this goodness going on?
Oh, I think Ill take a slice of each, thank you. Looks FANTASTIC, holy lord, so good!
buff: I, oddly enough, never thought to do it before...
harmony: they gave me the pizza bug - the clam bug I gave myself
snugs: I only read about it at 3:30...duh
tavolini: I blast the oven at around 500 so the pizzas cook really fast - I noticed your blog post was only minutes before I read it - so I figured
bina: pizza is a blank canvas
hornsfan: I cant wait to see what you do with it
lisaiscooking: oh yeah - a little red pepper would be perfect - I also had some sauteed jalapenos and onions
pinknest: yes to the stone - they really do make the crust... well.... crusty
chefE: I am not sure a gluten free pizza is going to be the same
mo: I cant wait!
duo: pizza for breakfast - perhaps?
donna: they are mini pies so maybe you would like your own pie?
oh babyyyyyyyyy
The clams sound wonderful! I'm thinking clams and leeks (since they are sitting in my fridge). Tomorrow is going to be pizza day.
There's really nothing better than homemade pizza! Clams are a great idea.
Mmmm I love homemade pizza! Yours look scrumptious!
Oh this looks GOOD!
