tostadas

Nice name for a flat taco wouldnt you think,

because thats all that it really is - a big flat taco.

Well these are tostadas a la moros y cristianos a cross cultural tostada as it were.

To mix it up even more these are blue tostadas and white tostadas taking the moros and cristianos just one step further.

Goodness on a chip.

A really big chip.

Did you make the blue corn tortillas or did you find them somewhere? I just ask because I've never seen them.

These are beautiful and look delicious. I'd have to get someone to chop all that for me, though.

We don't have to go to an art gallery... that food is just Beauty! The first one, with the avocado and the colors, I'd love that!

Never ordered one, they just didn't look easy to eat like a taco or a burrito.
Fold my tostada please!

The chances of getting blue corn tortillas here in Ireland are probably slim-to-none, but, hey, I can drool at the pictures :)

Looks great! And like you'd need a few napkins ;)

The mess can be controlled a bit by melting some cheese over it as a binder... You know, "Wet"! :)

These tostadas look delicious - love all the colors!

joire: you can get them in the stores here...right next to the yellow ones.

joy: maybe you need one of those magic choppers that the shamwow guy sells

mandi: its because you are easy...*wink*

deb: thanks I love hearing it...and you are nicer than Tanya....

anette: thanks - now if only a gallery wanted them....

micky t: they really are not that messy - just keep a fork handy

daily spud: I am finding that these blue tortillas are not as common as they seem - maybe its the ethnic places I shop...

Tavolini: a shamwow...LOL

buff: I am giving in to this term "wet" but I do it reluctantly - I thought it meant covered in sauce (smothered) now it means cheese too....?

5 star: vegetarian is not that bad sometimes....
