This is my 100th post of the year and 380th overall. I like the diary of blogging. In fact I have so much to say that I can do just enough to contain it to - 'daily' and this format suits me. Some of my dearest people poke fun at me and my blog yet I perservere I trudge on. They say - thats not even you - and I say - nuh uh - and they say - uh huh - and it goes like that.
I made mochi and it was so simple they should call this stuff 'easier than falling off a fence' it was that fast. I made mine with strawberries since the strawberries I saw were so red and sweet, but I am sure any fruit would work, in fact the next batch is going to be chocolate and strawberries and chocolate and peach covered in coconut. I found the 'official' box of the rice flour too. Many of the recipes I read mentioned the box with the blue star and I had already picked up a bag of rice flour and was ready to leave when- lo and behold there is the 'famous' box. The whole process took 10 minutes.
Update
The chocolate, coconut and strawberry taste so good.

DB, those look amazing and I bet they taste every bit as good as they look! The contrast between the white rice flour and the beautiful strawberries ... they almost look too pretty to eat!
