lunch
One of my most favorite lunches has got to be from Yatagan Kebab house. I have watched the price go from $3.50 to $5.50 in a slow and steady 20 year climb. It has always been the best of these types of sandwiches as far as I am concerned. I always bring out of town guests here. I tell everyone who wants to know.

I'm guessing that big 'ole round thing is a hunk of meat? What kind of meat? I've never heard of this. See, you teach me so much!
Okay you need to send on of those my way! That looks really really good!
bina: its layered lamb and beef and it is delicious
spin: addictingly delicious
Jesus H...is that a leg of LAMB?
oh. layered lamb & beef. doesn't that sound horrible? why does it taste good?
so when I come to NY, you'll take me here?
tanyak: there is no pleasing you
beth: sure thing
I love Greek food! (although not Baklava)
I've got a Greek cookbook somewhere around here...
barrie: whats wrong with baklava
buff: while similar this is not greek it is turkish. It is called a Doner Kebab - rather than a Gyro.
there is a place here in sac that makes the best authentic greek food and the BEST Gyro's. the owners though are very crooked and i won't patron there anymore (worked there for years). sacramento needs local corner stands. maybe i'll start a trend. i'm jealous been craving gyros for a long time.
This is a Turkish place Yatagan is a type of Turkish sword....google it...NOT GREEK....similar but not
Where is this located?
We'll be in NY during the Thanksgiving weekend-and I'd love to check out some great eateries!!
