Arrrr! With that said, I agree with Beth. I forget if it's Cixous or Freud who compares losing the eyes to castration (signalling something Oedipal). Or maybe it was just the chocolate factor. Sometimes a chocolate eye patch is just a chocolate eye patch. Either way, poor Mr. Pirate Cake. He looked too good for this world!
