wandering mind
Focus has been a friend of mine for as long as I can remember, in fact I think its been longer than that. Hard to put down the magnifying glass when you use it on yourself. Bring on the scrutiny. Click here to learn the secrets of Zongzi and a nice tutorial.
I have very definite opinions about mise en place I am certain of that.
This is regular mise, mise suitable for everyday use.

Wow, u made that sticky rice cake for Chinese people's dragon boat festival celebration in NYC? Orz
Rice in banana leaves. I love it.
Great sunset over the skyline. I have been a fan of mis en place for years, long before I knew that it was called that.

What a gorgeous sunset.
Sunset or sunrise? That rice looks great :)
is this "guess the insides of my banana leaf" day?
obviously rice and nuts?
Sunsets are great. Intense color everywhere, at a time when everyone can enjoy it. Mis en place? Not so much in my world. I like to wander around my kitchen, which is why kids and dog are banned!
That looks mighty tasty!! Ah, to each their own mise...you do what works, ya know? Gorgeous skyline for sure :)
Rice looks yummy. Sunset gorgeous.
There's a deep dark secret about the zongzi (the rice dumplings shown) and the dragon boat festival. Read about it here...

I love sticky rice wrapped in leaves - bamboo, banana, lotus . . Thanks for the link to Kian's site. With that tutorial, I may just try making this myself!
Looks yummy and I love the calming quality of your photo.
