wandering mind

Focus has been a friend of mine for as long as I can remember, in fact I think its been longer than that. Hard to put down the magnifying glass when you use it on yourself. Bring on the scrutiny. Click here to learn the secrets of Zongzi and a nice tutorial.

I have very definite opinions about mise en place I am certain of that.

This is regular mise, mise suitable for everyday use.

Great sunset over the skyline. I have been a fan of mis en place for years, long before I knew that it was called that.

Sunsets are great. Intense color everywhere, at a time when everyone can enjoy it. Mis en place? Not so much in my world. I like to wander around my kitchen, which is why kids and dog are banned!

I love sticky rice wrapped in leaves - bamboo, banana, lotus . . Thanks for the link to Kian's site. With that tutorial, I may just try making this myself!
