cramp in my style

Yesterday and today both my internet and cable went out from 10 in the morning until 6 in the evening, this puts a serious dent in my blogging schedule. Not only do I fall behind in my reader but I fall behind in my responses as well. So thank you very much Time Warner and even though you will credit me for two days it still doesnt bring those days back.

Mixed grill with shrimp, chicken and zucchini surrounding some mint jasmine rice and sauced off with grapes and gorgonzola.

Time Warner can slow me down but they cant stop me.

Wow! What a tasty looking dish! Those ingredients sound like they would work together beautifully!

How often do you host dinner parties?

I've had that happen to me. I use AT&T. It totally sucks.

I wish I was your place right now eating that. I like the presentation of it, too.

(Mixed grill with shrimp, chicken and zucchini).

The moment I read this....
my mouth went limp, my glands gushed, and my mind raged.........desire.......
that instead of this bowl full of your basic Mac'n'Cheese(Kraft),
I'd be doing gorgonzola, grapes and mint jasmine on a pyramid of rice as a side dish.

The first time I made a sauce veronique, my hubby was astonished as he blurted, "Hot grapes are good!" This looks good to me.

That is the spirit! Keep it up! Nothing should ever stop you. Wow what a fabulous meal. Rice with grilled chicken and shrimp..lovely! Tempts me to eat right from your pic!

this looks delicious! Sorry about the stealing and crappy other stuff you're dealing with.

my thoughts-do what you do-don't watermark. I have had so much work and photos lifted. Even my coffee label which I designed myself showed up on someone's else blog made into an award for a magazine.

I figure I will worry about it when it's my last good idea!

I do a chicken and grapes recipe based on an ancient Roman recipe! Very good.

Looks like a great meal. I just hate it when my internet doesn't work, especially since I'm the one paying them!

Oh Time Warner, I have some horror stories about them...and about Comcast. This whole monopoly on the cable/internet thing really works to everyone's disadvantage. Glad your internet's back on! You're so right: no one can stop you! And this dinner looks FABULOUS.

Oh, if I had this dish waiting for me after MY internet and phone went out last week I wouldn't mind. What a fab combo of all my favorites! And what a beautiful arrangement.

And glad to see you back...

elyse: I understand things have problems but two days in a row at the same time...comeon now

jamie: flew together in the time it took the rice to cook

pibpig: I hear you - I need the internet so bad I am like a junky

The good news is when you're internet and cable crap out, you have so much more time to create wonderful food. Did I miss the memo about the dinner party?

Jill said...

Grapes and Gorgonzola!!! You da MAN!

Christo Gonzales said...

Love your mixed grill. I also saw your Barbie-Q, cute! The "high-tech" thingy you saw on my blog is a cheapo pan I bought at Big Lots. It's available on "asseenontv.com" for 19 bucks. I bought it for 5. It works for me.

I've fallen way behind in my blog reading because I'm a lazy a** (well, that and other stuff). The last time I was here, it was post #805 and now you're up to #815! Need to catch up . . .

Love the tower of rice.

The rice cone, yay! Love the rice cone.

Viewing activities have dropped for many of us from what I've heard. It's been like that since Memorial Day.

It drives me nuts when the computer goes down.

Can I please come for dinner because this looks FANTASTIC!

One day I hope to be in your neck of the woods so that you can cook for me. The dish looks simple, sophisticated and mighty tasty.

Jeanne Estridge said...

Looks yummy! And not the least because the way you've shaped the rice reminds me of a giant white Hershey Kiss.

(BTW -- hold onto your socks, because I'm going to post a RECIPE tomorrow.)

Okay, so I really want the iPhone, but I don't understand the billing. If I do get it i'd probably get internet and unlimited text messaging. How much do you think it'll be? Can somebody please explain to me how the billing would be? Thanks!
