I am a dictator

Yup I am a dictator for SugarBomber so if you know of some cool bakery that has some cool dessert let me know and if its close enough to NYC I will go and check it out and if it really sends me into an insulin fit I will post about it.

What is SugarBomber you are asking well here is a quote - “SugarBomber is a virtual playground where food lovers can unite and share their love for all things sweet," said Robert Moritz , VP of Content, Citysearch. "Users can find the tastiest desserts to eat in their city and an incredible array of delights nationwide.” The site features photos submitted by users of their favorite cavity- inducing delights: red velvet cupcakes, Krispy Kreme milkshakes, red wine truffles and more. Photos are then reviewed by the "SugarBomber Dictators," Citysearch editors and foodie bloggers who provide commentary on their top picks. Users can search by type of sweet, neighborhood and share the sugar rush with their networks by voting for their favorite.

What are you waiting for - go check it out!

kenny: thank goodness you cleared that up I was already booking a flight to Taipei...LOL

-kenny emailed me this definition:HAHAHAHA, It's a slang-term used in British English to describe something as "first class" or "absolutely genuine".

E.g. That DVD is no "bootleg". It's pukka.

Maverick,
If you are willing to venture to Summit, NJ, about 18 miles from the Lower East Side, there is a famous cake in our town.
It's called the Philly Fluff.
It is from Natale's Bakery and is the best cake I have ever eaten.
I hardly buy it, because I know there must be a lb. of Philly cream cheese in it!
Everyone in Summit NJ knows about it and loves it.
Take the train and try it.
I will pick you up!

Wow! that "maverick" post just about knocked me down. Was that "you" (ha) in a flack jacket looking WAY to "mavricky" (and a bit "hollywood") with an old crumugeon that looks exactly like the hobo I rode the rails with from Bend Oregon, down the Dechutes Valley into the Columbia River Gorge.
I didn't think about the context of the post ....I just saw pictures.

update: I've had a few drinks tonight!

I just popped over to that site.*drools* Which is pretty amazing because I work in a bakery. Anything with an ounce of sugar in it these days makes me cringe.

Oh boy! This is a place I have to stay away from, I'd gain back all the pounds I'm trying to lose! LOL!

A site with just sweets! Excellent. Looking forward to your bakery reviews.

cool, cool. I'm interested in seeing where this takes you.

I think I would need to belong to a pizza bomber site, as that is where my heart truly belongs ;)

After a while of eating sugary foods, I have to stay off them for a while. It's a shame, given the way I cook and bake, but maybe not so bad for my derriere...

Sweet Melissa Patisserie in Brooklyn?
I have her cookbook and am going to make her Chocolate Malted Layer Cake soon.
If you go and visit the shop, be sure to let me know what you thought of the bakery!
(I love bakery reviews!)
