pair of aces

S
hoes and socks, beer and pretzels, bread and butter and cookies and milk. Some combinations are simply perfect and cookies and milk is one of those matches that match.

The kind of guy that I am I make cookies for my kid about once a week and I like them to have some food value so these are oatmeal, raisin, chocolate chip, with a little lecithin and soy protein thrown in for fun.

What des the lecithin do?

Just telling it like it is said...

High five on the healthy cookies! I've been talking to Snickers about how we can make cauliflower "potatoes". Then--of all things--they showed them tonight on the Biggest Loser--about how they taste just like potatoes. Ironic!?

Your pup is lucky to have such a kind dad! The cookies look so rustic and tasty! I agree, the moment I imagined eating one, I also needed that glass of milk to make it perfect!

anette: I have tried to make a pretty cookie - actually I can and next time I will show some good looking cookies

dawn: its oatmeal in a hunk - whats wrong with that?

bina: dont you need to dump someone first? Unless we move to Utah...

cookies are the only sweet that I can't control myself around. A warm tray of cookies from the oven? I'll eat every last one of them!

These sound up my alley, but I've never used lecithin before...

I'd make them more often, but my wife is a recovering Cookie Monster...

belle: that would be cool, then I could say "who's your daddy"

tavolini: I am a healthy eater disguised otherwise - sometimes it accidently shows

monica: these are dense, one cookie is plenty but he will eat three

zegliano: hey dads are cool too....

buff: you dont want to be an enabler huh?

Great cookie, and great combo. I'm going to have to steal your soy powder idea.

Those look amazingly good.... My oldest is 2.5 and we are just starting to do the cooking/baking thing together.... she adores it.... I fear my hippie granola food ways will eventually be ridiculed- but for now its all fun and good
