quinoa french toast
The overwhelming desire to make something French is consuming me. Due to limited time constraints and the need to keep the fridge bare due to our upcoming trip the only thing I could come up with was 'pain perdu' 'lost bread' or as we here in America call - French Toast.
My favorite french toast would have to be challah bread - the egginess gets to new levels - but the only lost bread we have around here right now is quinoa, so quinoa it is.
Trust me this is not some wierd meat - just old bread or should I say ye olde brot?
Dont forget to send in your entries for BSI potato - the polls close early this week ie; Saturday - so that I can get the post together before we leave Sunday morning. There has been a fantastic response.

mmmm..looks like a good breakfast..
Bread getting a bit stale reminds me to make French toast! Takes the batter well, and it's good AND cheap!
oh i first thought its meat :) thats one delicious and tasty breakfast!
Now I wish I had this for breakfast in stead of plain ol' toast. Yummy!
Oh that is what I'm talking about!!

french toast is a personal favorite, and this is such a unique version! i enjoy quinoa, and it's so darn good for you, i wouldn't feel so guilty about the sea of maple syrup i would inevitably add. :)
This sounds delicious! Quinoa Bread...cool. And it's time for breakfast, too (but I'll have to settle for regular old bread). Yum!
Looks delicious, and I haven't had breakfast yet so this is taunting me!
