busy being busy

M
y computer was infected with 12 virus and 16 trojans totally halting my ability to do anything until I fixed it - fixing it took 3 days. While I was on this mission to fix it I was on a ration of bread and water and only one shower and one hour of exercise in the yard - supervised. As you can imagine I am glad to be done with that.

To welcome me back I thought a caprese salad was in order.

The age old stuff the basil and the bufala in the the whole tomato presentation but I will be darned if it doesnt look as good as it tastes.

Whenever I want to get back to reality I eat chile. Red chile with blue corn tortillas makes an enchilada my grandfather would be proud of.

Why have one egg when you can have two!

Caprese salad looks awesome! Yeah I can hardly stop having one egg :)

I know you prefer the aesthetic when it comes to presentation of your food... You don't mind it to get a bit ugly while eating it? I just need to stab those yolks to let them run and just slurp them together with the salad. I might have to change my t-shirt afterwards, since it probably have yellow egg yolk down the front.

ungourmet: same for me - each bite is like the very first

jenn: virus and malware - yuck!

marjie: is the egg council paying you off or what?

snugs: its the pop-ups

pooja: I often wish they could breed an egg with a super large yolk -

I don't know where you get your mozzarella, but that mozzarella di bufala looks soo fresh and delicious - same for tomatoes - looks like you plucked them ripe off the vine.

grace said...

dang trojans. they give me more trouble than human viruses (viri? i like that better). meanwhile, i want an oozy-egg-topped spicy dish this instant.

Okay...it's late and I'm free associating.....beans with eggs make me think of new year's day...cause in the south you must eat your beans for good luck that day....and why not encourage a sunny year with an egg sunny side up?....so thinking about new year's eve...I was wondering what you think about new year's eve in times square...or the race on the eve in central park....

too much too many? something everybody should do once in their life? wait till dick clark goes to the happy cloud in the sky?

anyways...just wondering....

Love love love tomato and mozzarella salad and yours is truly gorgeous! That egg dish looks pretty fantastic, too, and I could just see that for lunch.

Love the egg topping! I keep trying that as a final touch, and it never looks as good.

Tanya Kristine said...

eggs look like titties! that's my boy!

i made a caprese salad with heirloom tomatoes, string mozerlla cheese (had to improvise), basil from my garden and $35 a bottle unprocessed olive oil. it. was. amazing.

you got too many people coming here now...don't forget your first people. well...kinda first.

tavolini said...

Eggs on enchiladas! That's a damn good idea.

You might want to switch to Linux. I use Ubuntu on my computer and it never gets all the viruses, spyware and junk. Also be careful using your flash drive in any other computer.

tavolini said...

Oh wait--do you have a mac? If so, please ignore my previous comment.
