this and that

W
hen I wake up I am so confused, my body isnt slowly rocking in the waves but my equilibrium is. I had a little nap and when I woke up on the couch I couldnt figure out how my television got on the ship.

The butter was carved up all over the place, mermaids and cowboys and lovely kissing doves.

Endless cakes and pastries were lurking around every corner.

Big black birds with big black beaks would let you know who is boss so dont leave your plates unattended!

Eggs benedict 'Southwest Style' - dream on if you think we had these on the ship, I made these so that I could get back to 'reality'. Fresh, homemade gordita corn tortillas with home fries and red chile hollandaise- thats what I'm talkin' about!

I dont want to create any doubt in your mind - I make better eggs benedict than Holland America!

You're a bunch of time zones ahead now, so you'll probably be messed up for a couple of days. Did you gain a ton of weight - or, more likely, did your poor wife and sisters gain the weight - with all that delectable food there? I'm sure the pup will think fondly of this trip for decades to come.

oneshot: give them a try - in fact use some of that tasty salsa you made

zoe: it was a nice time - I will be posting about it in drips and drabs this whole week.....just a heads up...LOL

marjie: 4 hours ahead to be precise - no weight gain although we did get bloated - all the carbs and salts...

sweta: endless food to be exact - we tumbled from meal to snack to meal....

It sounds like the cruise was fun and beautiful... almost as beautiful as that amazing plate of perfectly cooked eggs and a fantastic SW hollandaise sauce. That, seriously, is my idea of the perfect breakfast.

Breakfast? Hell no, I want that for dinner.

You ate very well on the cruise! Next time pls count me in, haha.

Did you really use the butter from the butter sculptures, they are so beautifully carved, I wouldn't wanna ruin them. ^^

I didn't know that you make your own gordita's. I can't beleive it, you never cease to amaze me, that is why you are the king of the hill! Don't close your eyes in the shower until you get your land legs back!

Oh, I have no doubt that your eggs are far, far better, dog ... especially with that hollandaise. Wow!

My stars, the scenery and the buffet are quite spectacular! What a wonderful trip ... I've always wanted to take that particular cruise. So nice to share it here. :)

snugs: you name it I can probably make it - today feels a tad more 'normal'

haha the ravens stole your food? ravens are great here they chase bald eagles away literally pulling out their feathers. When in all reality the bald eagle could eat a raven in about 2 bites. Love the butter carvings.

Wow that's a lot of butter!!! I can just imagine all the recipes I can make with those sculptures.

Awesome view from the deck. I feeling like taking a cruise now. Plus I'm craving for egg benedict, too!!

I never doubted it for an instant...red chile hollandaise. My God! I'm not sure if you drink wine or not, but did you see the new widget on my sidebar that pairs wine with food. It's cool. Kangaroo is one of the food items. Do people eat kangaroo??!!
