I am king
Tuna a la king to be precise. I love this quick and easy dish. Tuna a la king was one of the very first things I learned how to make as a kid. I loved it on toast, most especially on toast from my grandmothers homemade horno bread. This preparation was on some super twisty noodles called Cavatappi.
An horno is an outdoor oven popular in the southwest. They are made from adobe bricks and they hold the heat like any brick oven would, plus the smokiness from the local pinon wood made the bread so delicious and so special.
I have 7 (seven) posts to go to reach my goal of 365 - there are 16 (sixteen) more days left in the year so I am going to be spreading out my posts to every other day so as not to go over my limit. I have heard many arguments against my little task of EXACTLY 365 but I said I would and I WILL do exactly 365. Next year I will re-evaluate this 'limit' and decide if I will do it again or not, but for now this is where we are.

I am behind you 100%...your post as worth waiting for...I love the adobe oven edu- ma- k- tion *wink*
beth: thats what I'm talking about...now you get it!
chef e: I try and edulate as often as I can...
Oh my! That cheesy tuna certainly makes my saliva goes!!! ^5 on us having tuna days! LOL
And GO GO GO! Hit the 365 posts!
If you tried to serve me that tuna, my tears would fall all over it!
ps. my mom says that you use vernacular to obfuscate, but it's okay since she has already decided she likes you.
I like tuna, but not when it's called 'shit on a shingle'.
I kind of hate tuna because it makes my sister cry.
I like the idea of a nice 374..it is a lovely number, you need to think outside the box doggy..but either way, tomorrow you get a pass...try to behave yourself- oops, sorry, that just jumped out at me like a ton of cement..
LOL - great goals for the post.
And that's right - u are a king!
Definitely the King but can you sing? I am so impressed about the 365- I'm speechless (that's a joke). Not the impressed part- the speechless part!
I'm with snugs. That 365 obsession is a bit hard on us, don't you think? Its not our fault that you have used to many during the year, and now you want to starve us just because of that number?
I'd bet anything, they don't sell Cavatappi in East Tennesse.
Hey, it was a leap year, you can do one more!
...that's one bitchin' noodle...
We eat a lot of tuna salad sandwiches, but haven't made that casserole in quite a while...
I see peas!!
Looks good--I'm a big fan of all things cheese, noodle, veg :)
Stick to your guns! 365!
I can't face anything even remotely resembling tuna casserole. Tuna sandwiches, grilled, with cheese, well, that's another story.
Who said you can't post MORE than 365? And I love tuna dishes! And what is the red spice on there? I think they use that at Chili's and I love that stuff!
I love tuna and pasta...and that looks great. You always get me with your colors! Wow I can't believe how close you are...great job!
I haven't had tuna a la king in forever! Yum!
"A horno" you've got to be kidding right? I thought this was a family friendly site...
wow 365 posts in a year ! i can;t make it till 100 a year :(
looks like a yum tuna dish.
I love the amorphous shape of the ovens. They look as if they grew out of the mud.
Hello!
I haven't eaten the dish.
but I like tuna very much:)
it tastes very good.
Have you eat sushi of tuna?
Well congrads on the posting..365 that is a feet...I can't believe we are going into another year...
take care and happy holidays...
actually, its driving me nuts that you aren't posting everyday! What are you doing? What are you up to? What are you eating?
Thank you Anonymous - 'horno' is unrelated to cooking. I've seldomly read anything on this site related to cooking.
