ketchup catchup

Days behind in my daily posting so just like when I was in sports we will be having 'two - a - days' until I catch up and get back into blogging shape. Since I wasnt cooking but I was certainly eating I will be mixing in some scenery with the eatery.

My parents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their children and grandchildren on a cruise from Anchorage, Alaska to Vancouver, British Columbia and the weather could not have been better. This isnt everyone, my sister and her three kids arrived before us so they were not part of our initial welcoming - in fact they manage to duck out of most photos so you will have to take my word that they were there.

Look its 'eggs my way' so you know I was pleased to be be mixing it up on the benedict front. this particular version is smoked salmon with spinach - I had crab and asparagus, I had 'canadian bacon' you name it but I didnt photograph them all it - it was an every morning deal and the guys were always tickled in how I would mix and match their offerings. It was a buffet - you ask and they oblige.

The sunrises and sunsets were awesome - way up north it was sun-up for a good 20 hours. This is a sunrise as we approach a glacier on the first morning and I will leave you with that while I go back and process all the rest of the seven days in an order that makes sense to me.

Oh, and how does 532 posts in my reader that I need to catch up on strike you? I cant guarantee that I will comment on every post but I will comment on every blog...and how fitting that I am at a nice round 200 for the year so far in my posting....862 over all...inching towards that thousand.

How wonderful that you're all together with your parents for the occasion. Those eggs benedict look delicious. Have a great trip and don't worry about all the catch-up - or ketchup.

Great photos - I did a similar cruise in 2000, and it is probably the most beautiful scenery in the world.

That's some spectacular scenery. Your kid is cute. Good luck getting everything back to normal; I'm sure you really didn't want the trip to be over, but were relieved to get back!

How lucky to go to Vancouver.
