cant wait

I cant wait to use these freckled babies. I am not a big bread kind of guy. I like bread and I like to eat tons of it but I am not a purveyor of bread. Bisquits, thats another thing, but this isnt about bisquits its about bananas.

Slivered a 'naner (funny I said naner because I dont talk like that) poured in some sugar and chocolate and then dropped in a fig or two. Fresh figs are the jelly of nature. When You have a handful of super ripe figs you are pretty much carrying around 'natures jam' seriously.

Hey, whatever feeds a kid, seriously.

They're about perfect for Banana cookies.

Banana Cookies

2 C Shortening
2 C sugar
4 eggs
2 C bananas
1 C buttermilk
1 Tbl baking soda
1 tsp salt
6 C flour

Cream together first 3 ingredients. Add Mash Banana’s. Mix in buttermilk. Mix dry ingredients in separate bowl. Add wet ingredients and mix well. Spoon onto cookie sheet. Bake for approx 10 minutes at 350 degrees.

I frost with butter frosting when cool. If you like. You can add 1 Cup chopped walnuts to cookie mixture.
