who's chicken?
This chicken sat in a garam masala bath for 24 hours, well it started as a dry rub and as the chicken languished it began to sweat and moisten the rub creating one of the most aromatic and sensual smells you could experience. It was first browned lightly in a pan and then transfered to the oven to 'crispy up'. The pan was deglazed with white wine and orange juice that was rendered down to create a soft and tangy sauce. I could eat some kind of chicken probably everyday. I like it, my body likes it and if you take the time it can taste so many different ways and can I tell you how pretty the chile leaves look; I end up crunching these down faster than the chicken.
It looks like chicken porno really, they are posing and all.

Yum!
Good news for you:
Las Cruces, N.M. -- Green chili farmers are reporting healthy crops with more than a month to go before harvest.
“We haven’t had any problems at all weather-wise,” said Jo Lytle, who farms chili with her husband in Hatch. “It’s just really, really hot ... but that’s good for chili.”
Lytle said she is expecting the family’s harvest to begin Aug.
1, with the peak harvest around Aug. 10. Demand for chili remains
strong, she said.
Kitt: thats excellent news....thanks and I cant stop giggling ...the smell of chile roasting along the roadsides is so nostalgic to me.
This looks fabulous.. I love the Indian cuisine I've tried. My husband has a co-worker from India. He goes over there for a month every year to visit family and he brings this hot spicy pickled mango home. Wow! hot and spicy but good on a fresh piece of bread. He takes home cooked stuff to work all the time for the guys to try.
I eat chicken several times a week and, like you, enjoy the versatility of it. This dish looks so good!
I was at an import store on Saturday, and came this close to buying some garam masala! Now I wish I would have...
oh...now I can eat me some chicken!!! and this looks scrump. I think the leaves add a little something too....

my fam won't go for the Indian flavors. I made a curry-cumin marinade(in apple cider vin)for grill chic last night. Family no like. I bet if I named it "Porno Chicken" the guy would have liked it.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE me some chicken. It's my favorite and there are SO many different things you can do with it. And that looks excellent. I can only imagine the aroma, too.
That garam masala chicken looks good!
My 5 year old grandson loves Indian food and has for around 3 years. Chicken masala is his favorite. He'd love this dish you make.
