Oh boy did that salty sausage turn out bad. It was so bad I took one taste and tossed it. I know the others will be better but I did have such high hopes for this one.
We are on a steak binge like you can not imagine. Meat and potatoes again.
These are some old apple heads we carved up some time ago. I think these little faces are so cool.

I did that in art class one time...made apple head dolls.
What kind of potatoes are those? they look good. I like potatoes cooked any which way.

I wish I knew you were gonna toss that salty sausage-Old wives remedy might have helped. Soak in warm water with a cut up potato to draw salt out, then redry. The apple dudes look like shrunken heads done by savages...
Buffalo: I did that but when I say too salty it was way too salty...
I've been eating lots of steak too.
Bummer about the failed sausage, but don't you think you learn more from food failures than successes? Or at least learn something? I'm always impressed with homemade sausages though, or cured meat of any kind, really.
