Some chalkboards I saw on my walk yesterday.
I made some more sausage before testing the first batch, a perfect batch by the way.
I can already tell I wont be happy.
Grinder looks great
Sausage looks great. I used too much salt. We shall see when dry.
But this its the first batch and it is so good.
Dry like "al dente" and so meaty and chewy and good.
I want to somehow make amends to the vegetarians out there and I 'swear' I will make some vegetarian sausage. Really.
I made vegetarian tamales last year but didnt post so now all food gets equal time because here in the doggy world we eat it all.

Free: yeah isnt that a riot...I didnt go in but it is in my hood so soon I will.
Mich: I can put it up again...I made this a little blurry to disquise myself.
Vegetarian sausage? Fruit rolls in a dehydrator maybe... Remember, even the casings are made of meat! Pemmican has fruit and nuts IN it,but still has meat & animal fat binder. Good Luck!
BD: they make a synthetic casing and tofu can do amazing things, there is also a wheat gluten that is like vegetarian meat...its possible. I may not have this high on my list of must do's but I more than likely will try.

i feel like i'd wreak havoc upon my kitchen making sausage. but oh how i love it.
Pink: I tried before I got the stand mixer and it is super hard to stuff the casings but besides grinding meat and getting it in the casing truffles are a bigger mess.
Ummm, after your walk did you want a drink? Because I want a drink just looking at those signs.
