B.A.T.

V
egetarian isnt working so bring on the bacon. We have been eating seaweed and rice for a few days now and perhaps what my body needs is a little smoky fat and cholesterol - the kind that only bacon can deliver. How do you not eat a whole pound of bacon? The answer is simple - only cook a half pound!

I have been in quite a mood lately and I cant snap out of it - maybe its the bronchial cough I have had almost this whole year - off and on - or maybe I just need a huge-o-rama change. I have some irons in the fire and they are starting to glow red hot I only hope they get hot enough to brand. In the in between how about a B.A.T?

A B.A.T. is a Bacon, Arugula and Tomato sandwich on Natures Pride 12 grain bread, and to kick it up even more I used olive oil mayo.

Bacon isnt enough how about a crispy fried egg with some polenta? 'Clog those arteries' is my new mantra!

This an entry for Denny's and Foodbuzz Baconalia.

I see your eating well-balanced meals!! Vegetarian one day, seaweed the next, and now this. All of it looks so freakin' good. It's hard to avoid gluttony when your such a fantastic cook!

I'm with you! Clog those arteries! You know my dearly beloved would look at me like I had two heads and then say, "OK, seriously, what's for dinner?" if I put out a meatless meal. I suffer bronchial coughs, too. Have you tried the Advair inhaler? I got a doctor to prescribe it for me, and it makes a world of difference. Hope something works for you, because I feel your pain there.

DB, that is the most delicious looking sandwich I've seen in a long time. I love BLT's, of course in your case, BAT's. Gotta love that bacon (in moderation of course!).

did you get the medicine that I told you to get??? Did you shave??

The Duo Dishes said...

ha! Bring on the bacon. It's always welcome. Whether 1/2 a pound or a full pound.

Like KennyT, 'clog my arteries' has always been my mantra :) Loving the B.A.T!
p.s. my cholesterol actually went DOWN after months of bad eating and poutine crawls, apparently my body approves of binge-eating LOL! Hope your mood improves after all that bacon love!

Bring on the bacon!!

Michelle Ann said...

Yum...who doesn't love bacon? That is a completely rhetorical question.

I was never particularly font of lettuce but I do love arugula so I love the BAT idea!

Cookin' Canuck said...

Yes, you're right. The only way I can eat less bacon is by cooking less of it. And with a fried egg - heaven!

Nothing to do with photography..

Omigawd BLTs are a favorite and with arugula or rocket or whatever you call it (I call it rucola) it is even more amazing. Bring it on!

I am a B.A.T. and G. girl myself---"G" for guacamole in place of the mayo. One of my favs.

pinknest said...

Monstrous! Wonderful! I just posted about trying a "bacon bar" at brunch.

Heather S-G said...

Good tip ;) But yeah...complete and total vegetarianism is a wonder to me. How do people live without bacon? Hmmm. BLT's are one of my all-time faves...I bet the bite of the arugula is nice. But I must admit...A regular old BLT with a little mayo and sliced avocado is what gets my motor runnin'! That polenta and fried egg....mmm mmm good.

Nutmeg Nanny said...
