just desserts

G
etting what you deserve and getting what you want are really not that far apart as long as you want what you deserve. I am not talking about consequences I am talking about dessert. Tapioca is one of those things that you either love or you hate and from what I understand its a textural thing - see I like it so I dont know what all the gripe is about. This tapioca pudding is soy milk based but it does have eggs so while it is dairy free it is not egg free - I ran out of agar agar so eggs were my next option. This pudding is so good and I used two sizes of tapioca pearls so there are some big uns' and some lil' uns to add to the creaminess. The pudding came together in minutes and then relaxed in the fridge until it was time for just desserts.

Very clever to use two different size pearls! I bet it's delicious. I really like the perspective of your picture.

I used to hate tapioca pudding when I was younger. I never really knew why. Over the years, I've grown to like it more. Looks really good.

I love tapioca, as does my dearly beloved. Our children, fussbudgets that they are, do not, and therefore, there is all the more for the intelligent adults in the house.

Nice garnish. Buddy its a small reminder for our event "garnish the dish". we are closing it tomorrow. Give your try or even this could easily qualify for a simple garnish. :)

My mum used to make kind of a warm, sweet and milky dessert soup with these.. Sometimes they were pink, and we called it "pearl soup".

never too early for creaminess, and came together in minutes, and definintely never a wrong time for big 'uns.

Delicious! Tapioca fan here.

I'm still on the fence with tapioca--but I like the idea of multiple sizes.

Your tapioca creation looks just gorgeous! I love tapioca pearls but my daughter really doesn't like the texture yet (she doesn't like jello either), so we don't have it very often.

I haven't had tapioca in years. Maybe my taste buds have matured since them. This looks beautiful.
