meet-ups and winnings

Winning can be easy if only it was more frequent. The Diva on a Diet over at Beach Eats gave away a nice bottle of lavender flower syrup and I was the winner. We decided to save on postage since we both live in Manhattan and met at the Chelsea Market for a little walk around.

What can I say other than meeting her was like meeting an old friend and we picked up right where we left off except in this case there is no 'where we left off.' It was so comfortable and casual I could do it everyday.

The beauty and the mystery of the holidays starts at a young age and goes from there, I love this time of year.

Who wouldnt love one of these excellent ginger bread houses?

Thanks for the great morning!

Lovely gingerbread houses. Friends of ours have a "castle" and teen twins made a gingerbread replica of their house last year. It won first place in the teen category at the Annual Gingerbread Contest held in Asheville, NC at the Grove Park Inn.

It's fun to meet up with people that love the same things that you do. It's as if you had known them in another life. So cool.

Great post. I imagine that would be the case upon meeting many of the food bloggers in person. I feel like I've gotten to know them so well that they are like old friends.

I too love Christmas. Everything is so Magical! We made Gingerbread houses a few times when my kids were little. Of course they didn't look anything like those. I'll have to try again in a couple of years when my Grandson is a little older.

How fun to meet a blogging friend in "real life." Those gingerbread houses look so fun to make. I'm a sucker for anything made out of candy.
