Squash Blossoms

Having access to a garden is opening up a plethora of delights, and one of those delights is fried squash blossoms filled with ricota and parmesean cheese and coarse ground black pepper. Hard to explain the subtle squash flavor but mix that with fried and cheese and words alone will never be enough.

They are good just like this or excellent with a nice fresh marinara sauce and a crispy cold Pinot Grigio regardless of what wine snobs say.

Never in a million years would I have thought to make something like that. You are a creative GENIUS in the kitchen! I think you should have your very own show. Or at least a book. I think this is the second time I've told you to put some sort of book together. When the hell are you going to start listening to me?

Pinknest: arrange a messenger and I will load them up with nasturtium, squash blossoms, tomatoes, swiss chard and thai basil and whatever peaches and figs that are ripe...seriously
LittleWing: me neither...except when it comes to movies..I look for any excuse not to go.
CPJ: Thanks a lot but my grandmother made a version of these I just copied and altered.

I had these in Rome, they are so good (even though I know people say they are just overdone).
