Purple

Stopped by a friends garden and look what I got. Any ideas?

Green beans and squash blossoms.

Basil and tomatoes, more tomatoes than this but these had the cute little vine.

Nasturtiam flowers and leaves, arugula and chicory greens

Baby eggplant and green peppers

Swiss chard, and about ten figs that got too squished to photograph.

I grow my own basil and tomatoes.
The baby eggplant will be delicious!

All those healthy greens make me want a cheeseburger... with bacon and mayo.

I never tried a fig either. My dad was born in Italy and always wanted me to try one but for some reason I couldn't.

My Nona used to cook those squash blossoms like a fried potato and take them to the beauty parlor and give them away. How is that for embarassing?

Nice vegetables...
Sorry to contradict Mr doggybloggy but i think Beth is correct about steve fossett. In an AP article by Tom Gardner today he said and I quote... "In a stark illustration of the region's remoteness, searchers have discovered six old plane crashes that had not previously been identified since they began the intensive hunt for Fossett on Tuesday."
Six planes went down that they hadn't searched for or even known about in this one area of Nevada. The little people do NOT matter as much as the rich and powerful. Sorry Dog!

Anon: I too read about that and was shocked that they found SIX un accounted for planes...did not these six planes have people who knew?

Those unreported planes were probably stolen or unregistered- drug haulers, or other illegal types who had no reason to report them missing..
