Green beans and squash blossoms.
Basil and tomatoes, more tomatoes than this but these had the cute little vine.
Nasturtiam flowers and leaves, arugula and chicory greens
Baby eggplant and green peppers
Swiss chard, and about ten figs that got too squished to photograph.

fried squash blossoms over a salad.
I've never had figs...well, in a Fig Newton, but that's it! all that other stuff looks so good. I am seriously coming to your house for food!
Wow, lovely!
Yummy!
I grow my own basil and tomatoes.
The baby eggplant will be delicious!
All those healthy greens make me want a cheeseburger... with bacon and mayo.
I never tried a fig either. My dad was born in Italy and always wanted me to try one but for some reason I couldn't.
My Nona used to cook those squash blossoms like a fried potato and take them to the beauty parlor and give them away. How is that for embarassing?
looks like a salad to me :) Yummy!
curtis stone, that cute "take home chef" guy, has some great recipes for squash blossoms. google him.
Well, now the lady is famished! Lovely photos you have there, makes the lady's mouth water...
~great blog~
You're out of my league- I do dead meat...
That Thai Basil is beautiful...and I am obsessed with figs. Yum!
I love purple!
Nice vegetables...
Sorry to contradict Mr doggybloggy but i think Beth is correct about steve fossett. In an AP article by Tom Gardner today he said and I quote... "In a stark illustration of the region's remoteness, searchers have discovered six old plane crashes that had not previously been identified since they began the intensive hunt for Fossett on Tuesday."
Six planes went down that they hadn't searched for or even known about in this one area of Nevada. The little people do NOT matter as much as the rich and powerful. Sorry Dog!
Anon: I too read about that and was shocked that they found SIX un accounted for planes...did not these six planes have people who knew?
Those unreported planes were probably stolen or unregistered- drug haulers, or other illegal types who had no reason to report them missing..
We call Green peppers "Capsicums", they come in yellow, green and red, did you know one red capsicum has enough vitamin c to meet the daily needs of 10 people.. well ya do now lol..
