34 years and my wife isn't "honey" or "dear"- she's the "Goob". My sons(in their 20s) will walk in the house and say "Where's the Goob?" "Tell Goobie to call me". The name comes to you, you don't get to pick it out!
I didnt want to say but o conner left us on saturday august 18, with a broken wing that could not be fixed and after having been exposed to noxious fumes from a fire that burned downtown and us leaving the window open unaware there would be a fire so said fumes entered and expired the poor delicate but songful o conner like a canary in a coal mine..the little bird is missed terribly and we still have its cage hanging..we made a coffin and buried it in the window box that faces west.
Ahhhhhh doggy I was afraid of that, when you didn't mention the little fellow any more. Well you did your best and I am very glad that he got to spend the time with you. You are a true nature lover, and that comes with it's own reward.
Every time I see tree trunks like that I think of what a park ranger told me about them: Native Americans would bend or knot sapplings to show others where there was good hunting. Then those trees would grow all messed up like that. I don't know if it's really true, but that's what I think of.
Gotta love a man in a kilt and love in the air.
Sorry to hear about O'Conner. Glad he was given a proper burial.

I had a feeling when I read your caption of man in kilt with bird head.
That really sucks. Sorry DBloggy.
What does doggybloggy mean anyway? Is it named after a pet dog?
