I think you like to go home to New Mexico so you can stretch out in that wonderful kitchen! I love that "home" is still there for you; does your Pup think of NM as a second home, too?
Seriously, I loved this video. What a nice shot out of the gate. I can tell you loved doing this, you are in your natural state of mind ( New Mexico or New York).

P.S. I think you made a new chef fashion statement with your your chef top and khaki shorts :-)
This was fantastic! I loved everything about it, from the opening with the postcards, to the music, the vegetable garden, the chickens -oh yes the chickens - and of course your food. I hope this is prepping for a tv show - you would ve so great. I don't know how I missed episode one, but I'm off to find it - and your FB page.
Chef Christo, You are a star, and I would so love to see you on my television everyday.Your recipes are so fresh, and looking at them makes me want to run to my kitchen and start cooking, or better still I would love to run to your kitchen and start eating. I love to cook, and would love to watch you and to learn.
These are fantastic Christo! I have never been on a mushroom hunt, hope you go back in Season again :) And your Eggs Benedict looks superb, what a wonderful combination along with the roasted corn and peppers. That kitchen must have smelled heavenly :)
Great videos Christo. You had a wonderful childhood with your grandparents. You look a lot like your dad. What a fabulous kitchen too.
Loved the chicken and carp story. I would have never believed chickens would eat them and you caught them with your bare hands - wow. I knew you couldn't pass up those gorgeous zucchini blossoms when I saw the garden. A fun time.
You make an excellent teacher. I see a cooking show in your future. Sam
Both videos were excellent, Christo. How lovely that you learned at your grandparents' knees! That's the best way, isn't it? I've been on many a morel hunt, as I've mentioned, and like the oyster mushrooms, there's only one time of year you find them, and our secret place to find them was an apple orchard. Hard to believe you caught carp with your hands..especially since they were that big! Kudos to you, my dear!
Very nice video. My mom made the fried zucchini flowers growing up. Very familiar to me. Looked delish! I am now following your blog and I hope that you will give my blog a visit and follow too. Thank you. Blessings, Catherine
I loved this! I also learned a lot about mushrooms. I have been dehydrating for food storage and it was really nice to learn the mushrooms would retain their flavor when rehydrated.
When you first shared this, I couldn't get comments to work on Blogger - I just realized I never told you how impressed I am! Beautiful food, bucolic gardens and house (sigh) also loved the fashion statement. :) Beautiful, Christo!
Hi Christo - I'm so glad I took a break from working to watch your videos. Truly enjoyed them. Looking forward to more. Love your eggs benedict too. LL
Christo you need to be on PBS where they still have real cooking shows! You're a natural, I thoroughly enjoyed it when I first saw them and even more so now. Don't stop!
Learning recipes is great, learn technique and its grand. ChezWhat is a virtual bistro with an ever changing menu based on the freshest most unique ingredients of the season. Terrific! Now I only wish my sound card was working on my laptop. I'm going to watch again tomorrow on my PC.
Hope all is well over your way.
